Our philosophy, aims & objectives

The aims and objectives of Stallcombe House are to provide a rural setting in which each person is able to develop to the maximum of his/her ability, in their own time.

We recognise that people with learning disabilities need positive reinforcement and that pressure and rigidity can be counter productive.

Each person therefore has an individual plan which is reviewed on a regular basis by support workers and management within Stallcombe, with input from the local support team as well as other relevant professionals.

Welcome to Stallcombe House

A residential working environment for adults with a learning disability.

Stallcombe house

Stallcombe House is a residential community for adults with learning disabilities. We provide a happy and safe work place with a holistic and organic approach to personal health and the living environment.

Stallcombe House was founded in 1981 as a jointly funded project between the Health Authority and Social Services. The project was part of the nationwide programme to close long stay institutions and integrate the former patients into the wider community.

Stallcombe House now operates as limited non-profit company with charitable status.
